California's state government is a complex framework with four distinct branches: the legislative, executive, and judicial. The legislative branch, made up of by the State Assembly and Senate, is responsible for passing laws. The executive branch, led by the Governor, manages state departments. Finally, the judicial branch, composed by the courts,
